Rare Pat O’Brien’s Hurricane & Lightning Recipe Table Tent

Vintage, double-sided table tent from Pat O’Brien’s in New Orleans, Louisiana. This folded table-top menu advertises two classic drinks from the famous bar — the Hurricane and the Lightning — and features recipes on the interior. Not dated, but probably from the 1950s-60s when they used Chateau Jero passion fruit.

Four-color litho exterior, black ink on interior. 4"w. x 9 1/4"h., folds to 4" w. x 4 9/16"h. Paper card stock is spotted with age.

Hurricane
How We make It

4 ozs. gold RUM
2 ozs. of red PASSION FRUIT
Juice of 2 lemons
Fill glass with shaved ice

Decorate with fruit, add straws

Lightning
How We make It

2 ozs. VODKA
2 ozs. ORANGE JUICE
2 ozs. PINEAPPLE JUICE
Fill glass with cracked ice
Top with CLARET WINE

Decorate with pineapple, add straws
